Our Head Horse TrainerDoris Hubbell, our head horse trainer, works with our horses every day, gentling them to Clinton Anderson's proven horse training methods. Our horses learn to be respectful, polite, flexible, responsive, and fun to ride! By the time we're satisfied with our horses' training, you're going to find that they are a pleasure to own and ride. We put a lot of miles on our horses, riding in the rough high-mountain terrain around Marble, Colorado; in the desert canyons near Escalante Canyon west of Delta, Colorado; and up on the rough and tough Uncompaghre Plateau west of Delta, Colorado. After we've gentled our horses and de-sensitized them to the everyday tasks of a working horse, we ride our horses! We don't spend a lot of time in the arena. We're much more comfortable in the high country, riding a new and different trail. Our horses have seen more in a month than most arena horses will see in ten years--coyotes, elk, deer, farm equipment, dogs, slickers, gunfire, brush, cactus, narrow canyons, and steep climbs up the mountainside. What We've Taught Our HorsesCome and see what we've taught our horses. In fact, there's a good chance that we can teach you something, too. All our horses are easy to catch. We can walk right up to them in a 66-acre pasture. You can point to the trailer and they'll jump in. You can wade right through a stream--no whipping and cursing. We'll tell you honestly what our horses are capable of doing, whether or not you can pack out elk quarters, rope and drag a log to the fire, work cattle, and take kids and novices for a ride. Chances are we will have the right horse for you. We make a point of having good-looking horses in our string. It costs just as much to feed an ugly cuss as it does to feed a heart-stopper. We'd rather own good-looking horses. We're open-minded about various breeds. We've owned paints, AQHA quarter horses, lots of Arabians (yes, we like 'em!), draft crosses, and some terrific gaited horses, including Missouri foxtrotters and Tennessee walkers. Do you have a particular horse in mind, such as a palomino overo paint, or a rose grey Arabian? We might just have that horse right here on our place. Serious Buyers Only, PleaseKeep one thing in mind before you come to view horses, however. We're serious about raising and training top-quality horses, and we typically spend three or four hours of our busy lives to show horses to folks. We gladly show nice horses to serious buyers. REBEL: 2001 registered liver chestnut Missouri Foxtrotter gelding. Outstanding Zane Grey bloodlines, wonderful floating gait, a terrific, terrific horse. $8,000 now, but the price will go up as he gets more experience.
