2002 Rose Gray Arabian Gelding SOLD

Gambel: Hold on to your hats, ladies and gentlemen. This is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a very special horse.

Clinetop’s Gambel Oak is a 2002 rose gray Arabian gelding sired by the gorgeous gray stallion, Sshameless, and Zodia, a lovely gray Arabian mare out of Magness bloodlines. Her bloodlines are pure Polish. Two Sshameless sons have already become National Champions in the new Sport Horse discipline.

Sshameless throws big, pretty babies, and Gambel is all of that. He stands 15.3 hands. He is big, gorgeous, and talented, and will make someone one heck of a horse. I started him late in the summer of 2005 and put only about 15 rides on him. On Ride #5, I took him out of the round pen, started him across the Crystal River, rode him across the river, through the meadow, stopped, dismounted. opened the gate, closed the gate, mounted again, and took him through the sagebrush. We dodged sagebrush for half a mile, then climbed up into the open, then entered the aspen forest. We took the trails through the aspens, climbing up onto the top of the knob, then descended through the aspens. Once we were back on the big meadow, I loped him across the meadow and back. I then pointed him into the river, which he crossed, and then back into the stables. Ride #5, ever. Lifetime.

Gambel is very well bred, gorgeous, calm, sweet, talented, and truly special. He has a nice trot and a lovely, soft lope, and a real head on his shoulders. If you’re looking for a big, pretty, calm, well-built Arabian for an endurance, show, or jumping prospect, this is your horse.

Gambel has been to a three-day Clinton Anderson clinic; he has helped gather cattle on the Uncompaghre Plateau; he has even been used as a dude horse (as a four-year-old) in the mountains surrounding Marble. Gambel is very friendly, yet he’s not “in your face”. He’ll come right up to you in a large pasture; he’s easy to load and saddle; he stands quiet for the farrier; and he has a very calm demeanor and you can forget about that “spooky Arabian” tag that some people put on Arabians. He’s calmer than most quarter horses.
